REGISTRATION FOR THIS COURSE IS CLOSED.
This is a new referee class to become a first time referee for the 2013 registration year.
If you have not been a certified referee for the last three years you will begin with this course. In this course you will receive the information needed to become a certified referee.
A Grade 8 course – is a 2-day event (8hr per day) for a total of 16hrs. Attendance is required on both days. Pre-registration must be done online before you attend this course. By clicking the REGISTER button below.
In this course you will learn about are Laws of the Game and their interpretation and enforcement as well as proper referee decorum and demeanor. A 100-question test will be given at the end of the course. After completion of the course your U.S. Soccer Federation(USSF) referee registration is good till December 31st, 2013.
Referees that are recertifying from last year should not attend this class; you must attend a re-certification clinic. Go back to the class list and look for a “re-cert grade 8”.
Cal South State Soccer Association requires all USSF referees 18 years old and older to have Risk Management approval to referee any youth match. If you are turning 18 this year you must apply on or after your birthday. This process can be done before or after you attend the course. Class Times:
Saturday, July 28th, 8am to 5pm
Sunday, July 29th, 8am to 5pm
What to bring:
1. You should bring for note taking and class work:
• Paper for note taking
• Black or Blue ball point pen
• Pencil with good eraser (for test taking)
• Quality whistle. No neck lanyard
2. There will be some outside/field work.
3. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes for jogging and field work. No sandals or flip-flops. Cleats are not required.
4. Weekend classes often have a lunch break. You may bring your own lunch or plan to eat out.
Cost includes USSF registration fee.
For the $65 fee make a check or money order payable to Cal South and give to the instructor the 1st day of class. NO CASH!!
All fees are non-refundable for a non-passing exam. If needed, you can retake the exam until you pass at no additional charge.
